Happy long weekend!! Don't know where to go? Check this out!
Photo Spot of the Week #1: Lion Rock
Lion Rock is one of the mountains near the city - perfect for people who wants a short hike. The spectacular city view is just unbeatable, that is why it's one of the most recognisable landmarks in Hong Kong. It is located between Kowloon Tong of Kowloon and Tai Wai of the New Territories, and is 495 metres high. Lion Rock is noted for its shape. Its resemblance to a crouching lion and this rock is around 140 million years old! The hike is around 2-3 hours and its view is remarkable during sunrise and sunset so be sure to plan ahead to capture the best views!
It's very easy to get to Lion Rock with the public transportations. You can take the MTR to Diamond Hill or Wong Tai Sin MTR station and from there on, you can either talk or take a 10 minute taxi ride (approx. $30 HKD) to the bottom of the hill. Remember to take more pictures and post it on Picso App and #travelwithpicso!
Photo Spot of the Week #2: The Park by Years (Cafe)
Before/ after your hike, you should definitely head to The Park by Years. It is a vegetarian, plant-based cafe recently opened in Sham Shui Po. Even though vegetarian meals seem not filling, their portions are huge so you will for sure be full. They now serve a variety of dishes ranging from zucchini noodle salad to tom yum pasta to porridge bowl. Go check it out this weekend! As the picture suggests, "IF NOT NOW, WHEN?" Right?
